Russia: A Powerhouse in Oil and Gas
Russia, the world’s largest country, is also the second – largest crude oil exporter globally, trailing only Saudi Arabia. Its territory is abundant in oil and natural gas resources. Currently, Russia holds 6% of the world’s oil reserves, with three – quarters of its reserves consisting of oil, natural gas, and coal. It is the country with the richest natural gas resources, the largest output and consumption of natural gas globally, the nation with the longest natural gas pipeline, and the highest export volume of natural gas, earning it the moniker “natural gas kingdom”.
